How we determine the winner

Highest score = biggest prize

During the trek over 120 days each team will face 40 identical tasks (split between battles and assignments). Teams can earn between 0 and 3 points for each weekly task, for each city-stop challenge between 0 and 9 points and for each social media battle between 5 to 20 points. All points collected will be added up during the expedition. The team arriving in Milan with the highest total score, will win the eneloop expedition 2100.

40 tasks in total, of which:

34 weekly tasks (max. 68 points to be earned)

Two tasks per week (in total: 17 battles and 17 assignments)

Battles: 3, 2 or 1 point(s) to be earned based on ranking
Assignments: 1 or 0 point(s) to be earned depending on whether or not you are successful

Briefing: at the beginning of the week
Deadline: by the end of the week

4 city-stop challenges

1 recurring assignment in 4 different cities per team: the teams are rewarded based on the remoteness or popularity of the location and the number of times a challenge can be completed

City-stop challenge = fully ‘charge’ an eneloop battery through drumming, dancing, pumping and hand pedalling

Aim: generate engagement from by-standers and social followers (the more on-site engagement, the higher your score)

Briefing: at the beginning of the expedition (identical challenge across different locations)

2 social media battles (max. 40 points to be earned)

Two continuous tasks: each earning 20, 10 or 5 points according to ranking

Social media battle 1: collect the most likes on your official eneloop Facebook team page
Social media battle 2: achieve the greatest commitment on your official eneloop Facebook team page

Briefing: at the beginning of the expedition
Deadline: by the end of the expedition
